Short Story

The Only Home I Ever Grew Up In In my head its always spring. Green, and flowers perpetuallyywhere. When my grandparents bought their house in 1980 they somehow managed to also buy the empty lot that neighbored theirs. over the days they turned into nothing but gardens. There was a strawberry mark patch, a grape vine, a veggie garden, an herb garden. In the far corner was my playhouse, built by my grandfather when my babe was born. Its Victorian windows always reminded me of a Jane Austen novel, even as a child. As Im walking surmount the cobblestone path, through the white vigil fence into the cobblestone house, I see my grandmother grimace through the window of the kitchen.
